How do you go about to solve this question?

31. Average profit. The total profit (in tens of dollars) from selling x self-help books is:

P(x)= 5x-6/2x-3

Find the average profit from each sales level:
(a) 8 books, (d) Find marginal average profit function.

(a) The average profit is P(x)/x; just plug in x=8 in that expression.

(b) Marginal anything is the derivative of that anything; the marginal average profit is the derivative of P(x)/x; differentiate P(x)/x to get it.
