I keep getting the wrong answer for this equation:

s(t)= t^2 + 5t + 2

Find the instantaneous velocity at t=6

I keep getting the answer -53, when the text says the answer is 17.

Need help please!

Their answer (17) is correct. How did you get -53? Note that it is clear that the answer can not be negative: since the distance increases with time (see s(t)), the velocity must be positive.
